CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURE FOR ATS WEBSITE MEDICAL/SCIENTIFIC CONTENT
For purposes of disclosure of potential conflicts of interest, authors of medical/scientific content on the ATS Website are asked to use the following adaptation of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) COI disclosure form. Use of the ICMJE form is consistent with the disclosure process now in use by ATS Journals' manuscript authors.
Please also note:
- Where the ICMJE form refers to “your manuscript”, please instead think of the respective ATS website article/content you've submitted for website publication.
- Where in “Section 3” it asks for disclosure of “Relevant financial activities outside the submitted work”, please think in terms of relevance to the subject matter of the article/ content you've submitted for website publication.
- Questions in Section 5 pertaining specifically to involvement with tobacco entities have been added by ATS, and are not a part of the ICMJE form itself.
- Please limit use of this adapted form to disclosure for ATS website purposes, and do not use it for ATS Journals manuscripts.
