David Ingbar, MD, is a professor of medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine and director of the Department of Medicine at the University of Minnesota. His clinical interests are acute lung injury/ARDS, respiratory failure, pulmonary embolism, hemoptysis, critical care, and pulmonary edema. A past president of the American Thoracic Society, Dr. Ingbar earned his medical degree at Harvard Medical School and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington, Seattle. He completed a critical care fellowship at the Yale University School of Medicine.
