The ATS New Faculty Boot Camp (NFBC) is a program that seeks to build knowledge and skills for the difficult and disruptive transition from fellowship and post-doctoral training to subsequent positions as academic faculty members. The program is organized by the MITT committee, and is designed for clinical fellows, post-doctoral and research fellows, or early-career academic faculty who are within a year of beginning their first faculty position. This year, the program was conducted virtually and allowed participants to engage in a 4-week course consisting of both didactic talks and small-group discussions with leading experts.
