The Members in Transition and Training (MITT) committee hosted a virtual 2021 Student Scholar Program and two virtual Student Presenting at ATS (SPATS) sessions and a virtual PAR Path .
What is the Student Scholars Program?
The Student Scholars Program is a unique opportunity for a select group of 80-100 motivated medical students, graduate students, respiratory therapy and nursing students to attend the annual ATS International Conference! Students will benefit from a specially designed curriculum to get the most out of the ATS International Conference, and will be exposed to cutting-edge science, professional education, and focused career development as part of the highly successful Student Scholars Program!
What is SPATS Program?
SPATS stand for Student Presentations at ATS. Students who signed up for SPATS participated in a 3-minute thesis (3MT) competition where they had three minutes to present a compelling oration on their thesis and its significance. The judges scored each presentation based on 3MT criteria created by Queensland University. This program held two SPATS competitions, certificates will be awarded to the winner in 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd place, see list of winners below.
